The Ports of Vancouver are the starting destination for many cruise liners travelling from Vancouver to Alaska, a cruise which is highly popular. Cruise passengers have many amenities at their disposal at the Canada Place cruise ship facility which is close to shops on Hobson Street and at the Pacific Centre Shopping Mall as well as restaurants.
The Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre are housed within Canada Place along with the Pan Pacific Hotel. Also within walking distance are the historic Gastown area, and the Harbour Centre.

Ballantyne is Port Vancouver’s other cruise terminal located east of Canada Place – the industrial sector of the city and passengers need to take a shuttle or taxi to Vancouver’s attractions. Day shore excursions can involve a guided tour of Victoria, which takes around 13 hours and involves taking a cruise across the Strait of Georgia, and a stop-over at Butchart Gardens.
