San Juan shore excursions
San Juan, Puerto Rico is a busy cruise port and is the main embarkation point for passengers on a Caribbean cruise. It has a convenient location on the San Juan peninsula and is within easy walking distance of the Old Town and the Plaza del la Marina.
Passengers can visit the fortresses of San Felipe del Morro and San Cristobel, both over 400 years old, or stroll around the cobblestone streets with its many bars, gardens and plazas, Plaza San Jose and Plaza Colon. The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico features artwork from the 17th century, as well as a theatre dedicated to Raul Julia. San Juan’s Hiram Bithorn Stadium is a great choice if you enjoy basketball, and for shopaholics the Plaza las Americas is the place to head for. Beach lovers will enjoy the Isla Verde beach as well as El Escambron and Carolina.
