Listed in the Guinness World Record books as the largest square rigged ship in service, launched in 2000, with a crew of 106 and passenger capacity of 227 over 4 decks, the Royal Clipper has 5,202 square meters of sail. She cruises in the summer to the Mediterranean and in the winter to the Caribbean, she has transatlantic crossings available between seasons.
This is a great cruise for active travelers, she has 42 sails to music and they even allow guests to climb the rigging.
It is a truly unique experience being able to sail to your destination instead of using motors. When dining on the Royal Clipper you are likely going to be seated with other diners (if you are a small party of two) make sure those people you will dining with speak your language, as there are 13 or more nationalities onboard. The entertainment on board is great as they have passenger talent shows, crab races, as well as local guest performers. It is wonderful to be able to sit on top deck and see the starlit, moon-filled skies.
