After American Classic Voyages filed for bankruptcy in 2001, NCL America purchased the somewhat finished cruise to later be named Pride of America. She is currently the only cruise ship that is American registered cruising in the Hawaiian Islands from Honolulu as her main port is. Although the cabins are small they are cheerfully efficient. The entertainment is excellent on the Pride of America. There were several nights that Hawaiian entertainers were brought onboard and the onboard entertainers, musicians and bands are in a class all by itself. The crew show especially is well enjoyed. The pride of America has family staterooms with many layouts that are very comfortable for all.
