Currently set to launch in late 2010 as the Pacific Pearl under P&O Australia cruises, this cruise ship was first launched as Fair Majesty in 1988, she then was the Star Princess with Princess Cruises from 1989 to 1997. In 1997 until 2003, she was Arcadia with P&O Cruises and was then was inaugurated in 2003 as Ocean Village for cruises aimed at young people and families. The Pacific Pearl will cruise into Sydney and Auckland in late 2010 for tropical getaways to the South Pacific.
There is a crew of 514, a passenger capacity of 1,856 over 11 passenger decks. P&O Cruises has “Your Choice Cruising” which is an astonishing arrangement of swimming pools and spas, dining venues, fitness centre and gym, as well as a wonderful line up of entertainment from the adults only Sit Down Comedy Club (available on select cruises only) to world-class productions.
