Being the largest ship in the P&O Australia fleet, the Pacific Dawn cruises to exotic ports in the South Pacific. Launched in 1991 as the Regal Princess, it was owned by Astamar until 1992, then by Princess Cruises from 1992 to 2007. In 2007, the newest owners (P&O Australia) renamed the cruise ship the Pacific Dawn. The Pacific Dawn has a crew of 696, a passenger capacity of 1,910 over 11 passenger decks.
In 2007 before re-launching as the Pacific Dawn, it underwent a refit and had many upgrades. These included flat screen TV’s added to all staterooms, upgraded kids and teen facilities, improved sun deck features and a new and more traditional “crow’s nest” bar, casual by day it converts in the evening to a nightclub.
For entertainment there are many activities for all, you can learn how to tango, take better digital photos, attend an informative port lecture and much more. There is also putt-putt in the atrium, ping-pong, bridge, and bingo games.
