Cruise liners dock at Peraires Pier which is around 2.5 km from the town centre, handy for a shore excursion. Passengers who love to shop can head for Avenida Jaime III and the Paseao Del Borne for boutiques which sell an up market range of goods.
The Museo de Mallorca houses a fascinating collection of Moorish and medieval art from the 18th and 19th centuries, and the Arab baths and Cathedral area well worth visiting.
For passengers who can afford a trip out, the caves of Drach on the eastern coast make for a memorable visit with its huge natural cave systems and natural lake. Palma also offers some fantastic beaches including Camp de Mar and Playa del Palma which are both just a short taxi ride from the port.
