From this port passengers can enjoy a number of shore excursions including a day trip to the charming old town of Nice, which is only half an hour’s drive away. Cannes itself is just a short, five minute walk from the port – perfect for a short shore excursion relaxing on sandy beaches. The legendary Grand Prix Monte Carlo Formula 1 circuit takes cruise passengers to Monte Carlo, and the journey time from Cannes is around one hour. Here, visitors can wander around designer shops, visit Monte Carlo Casino, or enjoy an ice cream in Casino Square whilst watching the ‘jet set’ at play.
