Cabo San Lucas harbour is quite small, so cruise liners have to drop anchor and passengers must take a short, 10 minute ride by boat to reach the town.
Cabo San Lucas is a small Mexican fishing village, now a popular haunt of the ‘jet set’ with a number of celebrities having residences here. There are many options for a shore excursion here, with dune buggy riding popular with cruise passengers, as well as golf at one of the many local courses.
Cruise passengers also have the option of taking a boat trip to visit the arch (El Arco) at Land’s End, and have the opportunity to do some whale watching, diving, snorkelling or fishing. Visitors can also take a tour of the nearby glass factory, or visit San Jose del Cabo and San Jose del Capo - charming towns which are just a short drive up the coast.
