
Passengers are sure to find plenty to occupy them on a shore excursion into Boston, a popular cruise destination for liners on a tour of America.
It’s around a half hour walk to the centre via Northern Avenue and along the new Harborwalk. Alternatively you can take the subway from Boston T at South Station or take a taxi.

Cruise passengers are highly recommended to walk the Freedom Trail, a 2.5 mile trail which takes in 16 historic sites including the gravesite of the lady known as Mother Goose on Tremont Street, the Boston National Historical Park Visitor Centre, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
Narrated trolley tours are available – or passengers could take a Duck Tour which is offered from an amphibious vehicle. Most cruise ships run a shuttle service to Faneuil Hall or Quincy Market.
The Path of Paul Revere is a bus ride to Lexington and will take about half a day.
