The Port of Adelaide is situated around 13 kilometres to the North West of the city centre, and the port area has been refurbished to include shops, art galleries and restaurants.

There is also a Visitors Information Centre located here. Most cruise lines offer a shuttle service into the city, and there are plenty of taxis and a bus service too. Once in the centre, all main attractions are within walking distance.
Things to see include the South Australian Museum which has a huge collection of aboriginal art, as well as a European collection. Ayers House, former home of the Australian PM Sir Henry Ayers is now a fascinating museum and Victoria Square and Motefiore Hill are also recommended a visit.

Passengers who love to shop should head for Rundle Mall as well as Adelaide Central Market - home to some great tea shops and cafes.
Once done with the city and it's parks and grand buildings take the tram to Glenelg the beach resort for Adelaide.

If you have a full day the options then include a visit to the wineries of the Barossa Valley which produces some of the best wine in Australia and about an hour from Adelaide.
To the south is Victor Harbor whihc will take 2 hours to drive down to.

If you still have time then some of the Adelaide museums and art galleries are worht visiting.
