A Holland America cruise ship, the MS Rotterdam has 600 crew members and a passenger capacity of 1,404 over 10 decks. She has been in service since 1997, when she was dedicated by HRH Princess Margriet of the Netherlands; the Rotterdam is the flagship of Holland America. Having some of the largest “standard” cabins afloat, she also has a high percentage of outside cabins with verandahs.
Holland America cruise lines has the “As You Wish Dining”, which enables you to eat whenever you wish. Many tables are set just for two at the La Fontaine, as it is typical with Holland America’s cruising. In addition to the La Fontaine there is also the Pinnacle Grill, which is mostly steakhouse cuisine and the Lido Restaurant, is usually Italian.
There is much to do onboard the Rotterdam, from presentations, classes, wine tastings, digital photography workshops, and much more. There is also Club HAL, Holland America’s children’s club, for children from 5-12 and teens from 13-17
