The Opera is operated by MSC Cruises. It first launched in 2004 and cruises with a crew of 800 and a capacity of 1,756 passengers over 12 decks. It cruises the Mediterranean in the summer months and the Caribbean in the winter. With its Italian-style cruising, the experience that you get on the Opera is different from the American cruises but it will be a delight all the same.
There are many treats available on board from handmade Italian treats at the ice-cream bar to espressos at the coffee bar. Make sure to try the Italian cuisine while you are on board. It offers many things to keep you entertained from daily activities such as language lessons (Italian of course and others), games, contests and live music.
